    Augustana University offers one of the largest study abroad programs in the region. More than 50% of students go abroad during their time at AU, and there are over 600 approved programs to choose from including places like the United Kingdom, Spain, Norway, Costa Rica, India, and more. High school seniors who are interested in studying abroad are invited to campus for Around the World on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

    At the Around the World event, students will be able to experience a glimpse of what it's like to study abroad with Augustana University through cultural food and hands-on experiences. Students will also have opportunities to visit with professors who lead courses abroad and students who have studied abroad. Guests, you will also have a session to learn how to best support your student.

    Participants at Around the World will be eligible to apply for a $2,000 study abroad stipend. In your registration you will be asked if you are interested in applying and interviewing for a study abroad stipend. Study abroad stipend winners will be determined through a short interview at the conclusion of the event.

    Who is eligible to apply for the Around the World study abroad stipend?
    • Applicants must attend the event. Those unable to attend in person should contact their admission counselor for information about eligibility for special circumstances.
    • Applicants will interview on campus while attending the Around the World event. A limited number of interview times will be available.
    • Applicants must be admitted to Augustana University by January 30, 2024. To use the stipend, recipients must enroll at Augustana University as a full-time, first-year student beginning in the fall 2024 semester. The stipend may be used on any approved study abroad program during a student's undergraduate studies at AU.
